Daily fill-ins

Daily fill-ins are short items for a quiet screen: quotes, jokes, fun facts and "On this day" events. On an awareness day, for example International Women's Day, the screen can show a card for the day.

NowBoard writes and checks the library. It is free, and it does not use a different service.

When to use it

Use fill-ins on a screen that must show something new each day, for example in a waiting room, a staff room or a reception.

Show fill-ins on a board

Use the Daily Fill-ins template, or Daily Fill-ins (Portrait) for a tall screen:

1. Make a board from the template.
2. Optional: in Content Source, add a set that you made.

On a custom board:

1. Add a Fill-ins block.
2. Optional: under Fill-ins, select a set that you made.

If you select no set, the block shows the full library. It changes one time each day.

Make your own set

1. Select New.
2. Under What to show, select the kinds of item.
3. Under How often to change, select Once a day or Every few minutes.
4. Select Create.

Today shows the item that a board shows now. All screens show the same item at the same time. Each board uses the time zone of its site.

Hide items and add your own items

• Under The library, select Hide to stop an item showing. Select Show to show it again.
• Under Your own items, select Add an item. Add a quote, a joke, a fun fact or your own day, for example the birthday of your business.
• To show only your own items, turn off Use the NowBoard library.

Awareness days

Turn on On an awareness day, show a card for the day. Then select Worldwide days, UK days or US days.

A month-long day, for example Pride Month, shows a card on its first day. After that, it shows one time in each turn.
