Sites
A Site is a top-level physical place in your organisation — a building or venue, such as "London HQ" or "Riverside Care Home". Every Channel belongs to a Site, and a Site's Wi-Fi details cascade down to its Channels unless a Channel overrides them.
The sites list
- Name and Address — click a row to open that site.
- Channels — how many are set up at that site.
Search by name or address, or use the trash icon to delete a site.
Creating a site
- Click New Site.
- Search by business name or address, or type the site name directly.
- Pick the matching suggestion to fill in the full address automatically.
- Click Create.
Address lookup
The address field is powered by Google Places. Search by business name or by address and pick a suggestion to capture the full address, GPS coordinates and timezone in one go — the GPS coordinates are what let a site show up on the Map and what weather is based on. You can still save a site with no address if you skip this, but it won't appear on the map until it has coordinates. If your venue doesn't come up in the search — a rural venue, a new build, a unit inside a larger site — you can type its coordinates in directly instead; see Site settings below.
Site settings
Open a site to edit its name and address. Next to Address, the site's coordinates are shown when set, or marked as not set — type or correct them by hand at any time, independently of the address. Also edit its Wi-Fi (guest — shown on boards — and private, staff-only), and its advertising profile (venue type, footfall band, an optional exact daily footfall count, and audience profile), which the advertising pricing wizard uses to suggest sensible ad rates. The Channels panel lists every Channel at this site — click one to open it.
