Vehicle feeds
A vehicle feed pulls stock from a dealer management system or portal into NowBoard, so cars for sale show up on your boards without being entered by hand. Connect a feed here once, and the stock it brings in is what your Vehicle listings page and your boards use.
Adding a feed
- Click New feed.
- Give it a name, and pick the Adapter that matches your source: Auto Trader Connect (UK), Codeweavers (UK), Pinewood Pinnacle (UK DMS), Reynolds & Reynolds (DMS), Motors.co.uk, or Custom REST.
- Paste the feed's Source URL, and a Dealer ID if your DMS needs one to tell dealerships apart.
- Set Refresh (minutes) and how many days a vehicle keeps its "New" badge. Turn on Mirror photos so photos still show if the source ever goes offline.
- Add branding: display name, logo, contact phone, website, tagline and footer note. These show on the board alongside each vehicle. Save when you're done.
What the statuses mean
- OK: the last sync finished without errors.
- Running: a sync is in progress right now.
- Error: the last sync failed. Check the source URL, then try the refresh icon again.
- Idle: no sync has run yet.
Separately, the Active / Paused tag shows whether the feed is switched on. Pausing keeps the stock you already have, but stops any further syncing.
Refresh timing
Refresh (minutes) records how often you'd like this feed checked, from 5 minutes up to 24 hours. Automatic syncing on that schedule is not yet switched on for vehicle feeds, so use the refresh icon on a feed's row whenever you want to pull it by hand.
Listings and overrides
Click a feed's listings count, or the list icon, to open the Vehicle listings page filtered to that feed. If one vehicle needs a change you don't want undone by the next sync, such as a corrected price, add an override to that listing there rather than editing the feed itself.
