Countdowns

A countdown counts down to a single target date and time, for example a grand opening or an event start. It is one-shot: once the target passes, it does not repeat or reset. Countdowns are featured on welcome and event-focus boards.

What it's great for

Countdowns suit any single moment worth building up to: a shop's countdown to a sale ending, or a wedding venue's countdown to the big day.

Retail, leisure, hotel, office, events and education venues all get the most from countdown-v1, which turns the target into a big, brand-coloured numeral that ticks every second and switches to an "it's here" message when it arrives.

How to add a countdown

  1. Click New countdown.
  2. Enter a Title and an optional Subtitle (e.g. "until doors open").
  3. Set the Target date & time you are counting down to.
  4. Choose which Show units to display: Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds.
  5. Set the Finished text shown once the target time has passed (defaults to "Now!").
  6. Add an optional Image, then save.

What happens after the deadline

When the target time passes, the countdown either shows your Finished text or disappears from the board, depending on the Hide when finished toggle. Turn it on to remove the countdown once it ends; leave it off to keep showing the Finished text in its place.

What the statuses mean

  • Active: published and the target time has not been reached yet.
  • Finished: published and the target time has passed.
  • Draft: the Published toggle is off, so it is hidden from boards.
