Ad campaigns

A campaign is a booked run of an advert: who is advertising, on which of your ad spaces, for how long, and what they paid. Use this page to review incoming requests, keep live campaigns running smoothly, and see how many times each one has played.

Simple and Advanced

The campaign form has a Simple and an Advanced switch at the top. Simple asks for the name, advertiser, creative, ad spaces, dates and total price (ex VAT), and sets the media duration for you: the video's own length, or the ad space's slot duration for an image. Advanced also shows Media duration and Bid amount. The bid always shows, in either mode, when you pick an ad space that uses the Auction selling model.

A new campaign opens in the mode you used last; editing one opens in Advanced if its bid or duration is not what Simple would set. The How does this work? link next to the switch explains each setting.

Creating a campaign

  1. Click New campaign.
  2. Enter the campaign name and the advertiser's name and email.
  3. Add the creative (the image or video that will play). In Advanced you also set its duration. This should match, or be shorter than, the slot duration on the ad spaces you pick.
  4. Pick one or more ad spaces. The price you enter covers all of them combined.
  5. If any ad space you picked uses the Auction selling model, set a daily bid: the highest live bid plays.
  6. Set the start and end dates, then save.

Campaign lifecycle

A campaign moves through these statuses:

  • Draft: saved but not yet submitted for approval.
  • Awaiting approval: waiting for you to approve or reject it.
  • Approved: accepted and waiting for its start date.
  • Live: currently playing.
  • Paused: stopped early. Anything not played rolls on once resumed.
  • Completed: ran its course.
  • Rejected: declined, with a reason you gave.

From a draft or awaiting-approval campaign you can approve or reject it. From approved or live you can pause it, and resume a paused one at any time.

Dates, price and plays

The table shows each campaign's dates, how many ad spaces it covers, its total price, its bid (if any), and its Plays: the number of times its creative has run so far. Prices show in your organisation's currency. Play counts update as the campaign runs; an impressions readout is not shown here yet.

Which plan includes this

Ad campaigns are available on every plan.
