Takeover

A takeover pushes any board (or, when set up in advance, a playlist) to all or selected Channels, overriding whatever they are currently playing. Use it for urgent announcements, promotions, or anything else that needs every relevant screen showing the same thing.

"Now" or "At a set time"

Choose Now to switch Channels straight away and leave it running until you stop it. Choose At a set time to line one up in advance with a start and an end — it starts and ends on its own, nobody has to press anything. Taking over with a playlist rather than a board is only offered under At a set time.

Starting a takeover now

1. Pick a published board from the carousel, or click Quick board to build one on the spot with a title, subtitle, message, background colour or image, and logo.
2. Give it an optional label so you can identify it later.
3. Choose a Scope: Organisation (every Channel), or narrow it to a Division, Region, Site, Area, Zone, or a single Channel.
4. If your scope is not Organisation, pick which ones.
5. Click Activate takeover. Affected Channels switch within seconds, on every TV playing them.

A "Now" takeover has no set end time: it keeps playing until you end it. Click End takeover on its row in the list to send Channels back to their normal playlist immediately.

Scheduling a takeover for later

1. Switch to At a set time.
2. Choose whether to show a board or a playlist, then pick which one.
3. Choose a label, a scope, and the Channels if the scope is not Organisation.
4. Choose what the times mean: local to each Channel's own timezone, or one moment everywhere.
5. Set a start and an end, then click Schedule it.

An emergency alert or a "Now" takeover always wins over a scheduled one running at the same time on the same Channel.

The list: Active, Upcoming, Past

Every takeover, however it was started, appears in one list grouped into Active (running right now), Upcoming (scheduled but not started), and Past (finished or cancelled). Each row shows what is playing, where, when, and who set it up. Stop an active one, or cancel an upcoming one, from its row.

Time-of-day playlists

A recurring, time-of-day playlist plan (for example, breakfast menu in the morning, lunch menu at midday) is set on the Channel itself, not here. This page is only for a temporary override: right now, or for a set window.
