Info Cards
Info Cards are small, mixed-content tiles shown on welcome and visitor boards: visiting hours, reception instructions, Wi-Fi details, safety notices and similar information. Use this page when you need to add or change that information for a board.
What it's great for
Info Cards suit any small, mixed piece of information a visitor needs at a glance: a GP surgery's while-you-wait notices, or a hotel lobby's Wi-Fi and directions board.
Hotels, care homes, offices and schools get the most from welcome-info-v1 and welcome-lobby-v1 for a reception welcome board, and healthcare and care venues use waiting-room-v1 and visiting-hours-v1 for a waiting area. Festivals, campuses, hospitals and hotels use site-map-v1 to turn a set of cards into a wayfinding key next to a floor plan, and gyms, schools, offices and clubs use leaderboard-v1 to turn them into a ranked, scored board.
How to create a set of info cards
- Select New info cards.
- Give the set a Name (this is for your own reference, it is not shown on the board).
- Select Add card for each card you want, or select Starter cards to add a ready-made set covering visiting hours, reception, Wi-Fi and safety.
- Fill in each card's fields, then select Create.
Card fields
Each card has the following fields:
- Kind: the type of card: Visiting hours, Reception, Wi-Fi, Safety, Opening hours, Directions or General. Choosing a kind sets a matching default icon.
- Icon: a single emoji shown on the card.
- Icon tint: a background colour for the icon.
- Title: the card's heading.
- Body: the card's text. Enter each line separately; every line you type appears as its own row on the card.
Ordering cards
Cards appear on the board in the order shown in the editor, top to bottom. Use the up and down arrows on a card to move it, and the x button to remove it. The new order is saved when you select Create or Save.
Where these cards appear
Info Cards are welcome and visitor content: once a set is saved, it is available to show on welcome or visitor boards, alongside content such as timetables and announcements. The Cards column on the list page tells you how many cards are in each set, so you can check a set at a glance before opening it.
