Weather
Weather adds current conditions and a 5-day forecast to a site, so your boards there can show local weather without you typing anything in. Data comes from OpenWeatherMap, based on each site's GPS coordinates.
Turning weather on for a site
- Check the GPS column. If it says Missing, open that Site and set its coordinates — pick an address suggestion to fill them in automatically, or type them in by hand next to Address; the weather toggle stays disabled until GPS is set.
- Switch on the toggle in the Weather column for that site.
- Pick °C or °F in the Temperature column, and mph or km/h in the Wind column — set them independently, for example °C with mph.
- Use the refresh icon on a row, or Sync all at the top, to fetch the latest reading immediately.
What the columns mean
- Set: GPS coordinates are recorded and weather can be enabled.
- Missing: add coordinates before weather can be turned on.
The Current column shows the last reading fetched, or Not yet fetched if weather was only just enabled. Last updated shows how long ago that reading was taken.
Refresh timing
Weather refreshes automatically roughly every 30 minutes for every site with weather turned on. A sync can also fail, most often because a site's GPS coordinates are missing or incorrect; the row's toast message will say so if that happens.
Where weather shows
Once enabled, a site's current conditions and forecast are available to boards at that site's Channels.
