Fixtures and results
Fixtures and results are named lists of matches or one-off competitions: each fixture has two sides (or one, for a competition with no opponent), a kick-off time, a venue, a competition name, a status and, once it has finished, a score. Use this page for boards that show what is on, live or coming up: a fixture list, a results board, or a pub's what's-on-TV screen.
What it's great for
Fixtures and results suits anywhere with matches, rounds or competitions to show: a sports club or stadium's fixture and results board, a golf or racquet club's members' fixtures, a pub or bar's what's-on-TV listing, or a school's sports fixtures and house points.
No board in the catalog reads this content type yet, so a fixture list you build today is ready content waiting for that board.
How to create a list
- Select New fixtures and results.
- Give the list a Name (this is for your own reference, it is not shown on the board).
- Select Add fixture for each match or competition entry.
- Fill in each fixture's fields, then select Create.
Fixture fields
Each fixture has the following fields:
- Home team: required. For a one-off competition with no opponent (a golf medal round, a school sports day), this carries the competition entry's own name.
- Away team: optional. Leave it blank for a one-sided entry — no fake opponent is needed.
- Home, away or neutral: which side (if either) is playing at home.
- Competition: what the fixture is for, e.g. "Junior Regional League" or "Members' Medal". Boards can group fixtures by this field.
- Kick-off: the date and time. This is what boards sort by.
- Venue: where it is being played or shown.
- Status: Scheduled, Live, Postponed, Cancelled or Finished. A postponed or cancelled fixture stays on the list rather than vanishing, so it can be rescheduled later by editing its kick-off time and status.
- Score: enter this once the status is Live or Finished. A one-sided entry only has a home score — the away score stays blank.
Ordering and the kick-off preview
Fixtures always show on the board in kick-off order, earliest first, regardless of the order you add them in the editor. After you save, a read-only preview shows the exact order the board will use.
Where fixtures appear
Once a list is saved, it is available to link to a board whose screen design accepts fixtures, the same way you link a timetable or a menu.
