Billing and plans
This page shows which plan you're on, lets you upgrade, downgrade or cancel, and links out to Stripe's own portal for invoices and payment methods. NowBoard bills per Player Licence — one for each connected TV — so your total adjusts automatically as you add or remove them.
Which plan you're on
The plan you're currently on is marked with a thicker border and a Current plan label, so it's obvious at a glance among the plan cards below.
The plans
- Free: 1 Player Licence, 3 Boards and core signage features, at no cost.
- Starter: as many Player Licences as you need, plus unlimited Boards and advertising with a 20% commission on ad sales.
- Professional: the same, with a lower 13% ad commission, emergency alerts, takeover, sector feeds, AI features and advanced analytics.
- Enterprise: a custom Player Licence allowance, a dedicated account manager, single sign-on, custom branding, a negotiated SLA and custom onboarding.
Toggle Monthly or Annual (around 17% off) above the plan cards. Prices are per Player Licence, shown in your organisation's billing currency, excluding VAT, GST or sales tax as applicable. Tax is added at checkout.
Adding Player Licences
The current-plan section states the per-licence price and links straight to where you manage your Player Licences. Connect another TV and your bill goes up straight away, charged for the rest of the current period; remove one and you're credited back. There's no separate step to "buy" a licence: your subscription quantity always matches how many TVs you have connected.
Upgrading and downgrading
From Free, choosing a paid plan takes you to Stripe Checkout. Between paid plans, an upgrade applies immediately with proration; a downgrade is scheduled and only takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep your current plan's features until then. A scheduled change shows as Scheduled on its plan card, and a message at the top of the page explains what will change and when.
Invoices, receipts and payment method
Click Invoices and payment method to open Stripe's own billing portal. Every past invoice is listed there, and a receipt is emailed to you automatically on each payment. That's also where you update your card. Stripe's own screens aren't covered here.
Cancelling
Click Cancel subscription, then confirm. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then drops to Free automatically. There's no refund for the unused part of the period.
