Channels

Channels lists every Channel in your organisation, with a search box to find one quickly and a status dot showing whether it's online.

Searching

Type part of a Channel's name or its site's name into the search box at the top. The list narrows as you type; clear the box to see every Channel again.

What the dot means

  • Green: the Channel is online.
  • Red: the Channel is offline.
  • Grey: status hasn't loaded yet, or couldn't be checked.

Opening a Channel

Tap a Channel to see its name, site, online state and the playlist it's showing right now.

Use for Today

On a Channel's page, tap Use for Today to make it the Channel the Today, Menu, Announcements and Emergency tabs act on. The top bar updates to show the new choice.

Select several Channels

Managers, admins and owners can change several Channels at once instead of opening them one by one. Tap Select next to the search box, or press and hold any Channel, to turn on tick boxes. Tap Select all to tick every Channel currently shown in the list.

With Channels ticked, a bar above the tabs shows how many are selected and these actions:

  • Default playlist: pick a playlist and it becomes the default on every ticked Channel.
  • Sleep: turns the ticked Channels dark, after you confirm.
  • Wake: brings the ticked Channels back on, after you confirm.

After an action finishes you stay in Select mode with the same Channels ticked, so you can run another action straight away. Tap Done to leave Select mode and clear the ticks. If a Channel was offline, the result tells you it wasn't connected instead of counting it as sent.
